Toronto, June 6, 2008 Have you had a bad day? You work hard and go home to the same thing day in day out, one fact circles your head in an obvious fashion: you need to get away. It’s the summer time and there are good times to be had. You want to enjoy your summer but not exhaust yourself in the process, because you’re just plain exhausted anyways. A nice weekend at the cottage doesn’t sound too bad, but then you’re still back in the same routine on Monday. What you need goes beyond just a stay in the great outdoors because we all know that is relaxing and therapeutic but you need to take that relaxation with you. You need balance, you need to relax, you need Canada’s true Zen Shiatsu Therapist, Julie Moore. Julie is a certified Shiatsu Therapist who worked for many years at a major Toronto Hospital. She has since then travelled abroad and studied Ashiatsu Therapy, an eastern form of foot massage now westernized. This form of therapy is rarely found in North America and Julie is of the few in Canada practicing it. This form of therapy requires physical specifications that few therapists possess and can be very beneficial to those receiving it. Julie is a well sought after therapist and through years of experience has proven herself to be the pioneer Zen Shiatsu Therapist. On June 20th, 21st and 22nd as well as June 27th, 28th and 29th Julie will be at HighFields Country Inn and Spa, In Zephyr just outside of Uxbridge, Ontario. This beautiful 175 acre private country landscape is yours to enjoy and is ripe with activities including; Golf, tennis, Hiking, Outdoor pool, Spa suites and so much more. There is also Spa therapies and a restaurant all on the same property. On these special dates Julie Moore will be at HighFields Country Inn and Spa teaching classes. She will be teaching Qi Gong, Zen meditation and Meridian stretching. Qi gong is a form of Tai chi, a martial art, and focuses on breathing and muscle relaxation and the centring of your energy (or Qi). It is meant to balance the yin and yang of your Qi to allow you to feel refreshed and most importantly relaxed. Zen meditation is primarily a breathing exercise to allow you get in touch with your inner thoughts and become one with yourself. Meridian stretching focuses on the lines of energy situated in your body. The meridians are lined with hundreds of acupoints which affect organs or certain other points of the human body. These classes are meant to be helpful in not only balancing the Qi but also in providing you with exercises you can incorporate into your everyday life to feel better, relaxed, refreshed and able to take whatever the world has to throw at you. Bring your friends, loved ones, relatives or even just yourself for a relaxing stay in the country. Come for a day, a night or the whole weekend the time spent could very well change your life. Julie is also extending a very special invitation to all members of the media; On either of these weekends any person who works in the media will receive a complimentary treatment from Julie if they attend High Fields Country Inn and Spa, only 40 minutes from the city, it’s closer than you think!
